Drug Collection Sites

Medicine take back options are the best way to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription and non-prescription (for example, over the counter) medicines. Before disposing of prescription medicines, be sure to remove all personal information on pill bottle labels and medicine packaging. All medicines dropped off at the take back locations will be destroyed. The maps below display available collection sites in Oregon and Idaho.

Items not acceptable for disposal include:

• Syringes, needles or other sharps

• Inhalers, such as those for asthma

• Aerosol cans

• Mercury thermometers

• Iodine-containing medications

• Illegal drugs or substances
